- CAPE TOWN and the CAPE PENINSULA -
A First Encounter with Africa’s Resonant Song through Circle Dance, Toning and Meditation
The Cape Peninsula, at the south western tip of Africa, functions as a massive receptor and conveyor of sound. Due to its geological formation and composition, it acts as a gigantic tuning-fork for the entire continent. It consists of a crystalline matrix held in a bedrock of igneous granite. Large quantities of silica, mica and quartz lie within the matrix - all of these are elements associated with radio transmission. The Cape Peninsula functions not only as a massive receptor, but also as a transmitter of sound.
This gigantic geological tuning fork is activated through the primal vibrations generated by the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. As the crystalline structure within the peninsular granite resonates to the oceanic sounds, the frequencies are transmitted through the matrix and across the entire continent. They travel along energy pathways that connect to different geological vortices, activating and intensifying the specific qualities of these sites.
Our purpose is to journey to seven energy vortices situated on the Peninsula, Cape Town and Table Mountain. In these places, we will add our song and dance to the tuning fork’s resonance, invoking personal and planetary healing and receiving the benefits of this practice into our physical
and subtle bodies. When we achieve harmonic resonance with the earth, our healing intention will be amplified and distributed throughout the crystal grid network of Mama Africa’s body.
At these seven sites, we will acknowledge and honour the great principles of the Feminine and the Masculine as reflected by the outer, and our inner, landscapes. By recognizing the union between these principles, we can recognize the universal Child in every living being.
*
- BUSHMAN’S KLOOF -
Following the footsteps of the First People
After completing this journey of alignment between our individual Chakra systems and the seven energy vortices, we will travel overland to Bushman’s Kloof in the northern Cederberg,
Our purpose is to journey backwards in time as we discover the myriad of artful paintings along the Sevilla Trail left by the early San (Bushmen). This is a prehistoric legacy which lives on at the root of human consciousness. Dean will guide us towards a meaningful understanding of the ancient paintings.
Returning from our sojourn in the Cederberg, we will travel to Paarl to linger in the timeless Fertility Cave at the top of Paarl Rock, where we will ceremonially acknowledge the legacy of this archaic root consciousness and the birthing of our original human nature.
*
- EAST COAST and the GARDEN ROUTE -
Exploring the antiquity of the human spirit
After leaving Paarl, we travel East towards the rising sun along the great cornerstone at the tip of Africa.
The Garden Route has been home to our earliest ancestors. Dating back to more than 200 thousand years ago, Pinnacle Point, at Mossel Bay, is regarded as an extremely important archaeological site. Some of the earliest recorded engravings and rock paintings in red ochre have been found in this area.
At Keurbooms, some of the shell middens are amongst the deepest in the world, testifying to human habitation over thousands and thousands of years.
Our purpose is to reach a clearer understanding of our essential human nature and greater being as we explore the traces of ancient humanity left by the first People all along the Garden Route.

She hosts journeys, encounters and circle dance workshops in Latin America and southern African countries, These simple dances are a powerful affirmation of oneness, embodiment and celebration. The intention of our dance and song is to facilitate a spontaneous connection to our shared primal human nature.

JOURNEY ONE:
CAPE TOWN, CAPE PENINSULA and BUSHMAN’S KLOOF
A First Encounter with Africa’s Resonant Song Circle Dance, Toning and Meditation

Walking in the footsteps of the ancient San people
On the Southwestern tip of Southern Africa, lies Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula. Due to its geological formation and make-up, it functions as a gigantic tuning-fork for the entire continent. It is made up of igneous granite rock with a crystalline matrix. Large quantities of silica, mica and quartz lie embedded within it, all are components of a transistor radio. Thus, the Cape Peninsula stands as a great receptor and conveyor of sound at the southwestern tip of Africa.

This gigantic geological tuning fork is activated through the primal energies of the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans. As the crystalline structure of the peninsular granite resonates, the frequency of its song is transmitted through the crystalline granite matrix of the bedrock and across the entire continent, travelling along energy pathways that connect to different vortexes, activating and intensifying the specific qualities of these sites.
Our purpose is to journey to the seven energy vortexes which are the Chakras of the Peninsula, Cape Town and Table Mountain. In these places we will add our song and dance to the tuning fork’s resonance, invoking personal and planetary healing and, at the same time, receiving the benefits of this resonance into our physical and subtle bodies. We will join our healing intentions to the great orchestra of its song. This is amplified and multiplied through harmonic resonance by the crystal grids throughout Mama Africa’s body.
During the course of our seven pilgrimages on the Peninsula and in the Mother City, we will honour and acknowledge the divine principles of the Feminine and the Masculine as reflected by the outer, and our inner, landscapes. By recognizing the universal union between these great principles, we can honour the divine Child in every living being.

After completion of this journey of alignment, between our individual Chakra systems and the seven energy vortices, we will travel to Bushman’s Kloof in northern Cederberg to discover the myriad of artful paintings left by the early San (Bushmen). This is a prehistoric legacy that lives on at the root of human consciousness. Dean will guide us towards a meaningful understanding of the ancient paintings.

Returning to Cape Town, we will linger in the timeless Fertility Cave at the top of Paarl Rock, to touch the birthing of our essential and pure human nature.

The purpose of our practices and dancing is to facilitate a spontaneous connection to this archaic consciousness.

IMPORTANT
South Africa requires a YELLOW FEVER vaccination certificate if you are travelling from, or live within, a risk zone (e.g. certain South American countries) – the authorities will demand to see the original certificate together with your passport. Please verify whether you need one. Also check on VISA requirements for your country. All passports must be valid for at least six months longer than your intended stay (i.e. minimum of 6 months validity after exit date from South Africa).
Activities will not be suspended if it rains (except for the ascent up to Table Mountain/ descent to Dias Beach at Cape Point) – please bring your oilskins, umbrellas etc. The climate can be quirky at the tip of Africa, so bring your windbreaker, sneakers, autumn gear and early winter woollies. T-shirts are good for sunny day hikes, as well as hats, sunscreen and bathing costumes.
